It was an interesting opportunity to analyse developments in the language of colour imposed by technological, cultural and artistic changes that affect the domestic scenes in which we live. During the meeting some time was spent on the specific reasons underlying the recent comeback of colours and effects that have not been seen in our surrounds since the nineteen fifties and above all why the “popular” gold finishes no longer imitate pure gold (so-called faux finishes) in favour of warmer flatter effects (the “evocative” shades).
It was an interesting and captivation digression which kept attention levels high in the crowded audience of journalists and more than 30 design experts of the best known Italian companies in the furnishing, lighting and electrical appliances sectors, motorcycle manufacturers and architecture and design studios.
