By now, we have become used to record numbers at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) but this year’s important news was the expansion of the exhibition spaces, at a time when almost all nautical events and fairs are more restricted. This is another confirmation of the reputation of this B2B event as one of the sector’s most emblematic. The excellent selection of innovative products and services from all over the world that are presented at this fair determines its success, because it revolves around quality - of the exhibitors and the visitors. At Stoppani, we believe strongly in this annual fair, and for this edition, we are presenting our tintometer to remind visitors of the importance of colour and finishes. We will also focus on our ongoing research into colour stability through the new bases and the Lechler MAP software, for greater precision in defining and reproducing coloured paint. The featured product will once again be Isofan Marine, the only distinctive colour line supported by the range of products designed to guarantee a finish of unequalled brilliance, lightfastness and resistance to ageing. The other featured product will be the new transparent thixotropic finish Diamondburst which produces an exclusive diamond-coated effect. Depending on the quality and intensity of the light that shines on the object, it produces a "luminous explosion" of the mineral micro-particles it contains, increasing the effect and chromatic depth of the base colour. The luminosity and intensity of its special formula is multiplied depending on the number of coats applied and on the chromatic contrast with the base colour used. Therefore, at METS we are going to be looking especially at colour, finishes, technologies and the expansion of our distribution network for our products.
